Sundays - Worship, Sunday School, and Fellowship Coffee Hour
Our worship service is at 10:00 on Sunday mornings at the Church on 10 Post Road. Sunday School begins about 20 minutes after the service begins. Teachers and children walk 300 yards on a picturesque New England walkway from the Church to the Parish House at 44 Post Road. All adults are invited to also come to our Parish House for the Coffee Hour after the service. Our Parish House is in a building that was the Methodist church before it merged with the Congregational church. Come to see both of our buildings, and also view one of the few existing Paul Revere bells in the steeple of our Parish House.
Tuesdays - Women On the Way
Community Congregational Church offers two opportunities for women to meet with women. One is Women on the Way (WOW), a group that engages in the study of the Bible and other books, as well as discussion of spiritual topics. They also enjoy personal sharing and mutual support. WOW meets in women's homesusually on Tuesday evenings.
Third Tuesday - Women's Alliance
The other group is the Women's Alliance, a service-minded group of women who meet on the third Tuesday of each month except in July and August at 10:00 a.m.usually for devotions, a business meeting, a brown bag lunch, and a guest speaker. Most meetings are at the Parish House, but they sometimes meet at the Parsonage. Bring $1 and your lunch. Potato chips and dessert will be provided. All women who are members or friends of the church are invited to attend the meetings of both groups.
Thursdays - Gentle Stretch Yoga Class
This yoga class taught by Rev. Fellows meets on many Thursday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:40 p.m. at the Parish House, 44 Post Road, Greenland. Benefits of yoga may include increased flexibility, range of motion in joints, toning, balance, relaxation, and reduced anxiety. The class is gentle, and yet students who have practiced before will also benefit. Please do not eat for an hour before the class; bring a mat; and wear light, loose-fitting, or exercise clothing. Teens and adults are all welcome, whether from our church or the wider community. The suggested donation to the church is $5 per class. Check the Calendar above for the class schedule.
Thursdays - Choir Rehearsal
From September to June, our Choir rehearses under the direction of Paul Merrill at the Church on Thursday evenings at 7:15 p.m.
